7.33 miles in 1:03:39

Dusty and I agreed to a virtual race in preparation for the marathon we plan on running together. The terms were that we'd run for 60 minutes on a treadmill at 1.0% elevation.

So, I ran outside instead...sorry Dusty. I did 7.33 miles in 1:03:39.

Air temp on the way out was 10 degrees and 9 degrees on the way back. We'd gotten about an inch of snow earlier today. The skies cleared off for my run tonight and it was a beautiful starry nighttime run. I picked my favorite route through an older residential part of town.

April got home soon after I did. Here she is waiting for the water pressure to come around in our RV in the sky. Notice the droplets of water coming out of the faucet behind her.

Nice work Andy. I jogged with a pal of mine earlier in the week, and thus postponed "treadie judgement day" until today, but I forgot how, despite the fact that the athletic facilities "close" at 11, they make you vacate the machines at 1030. I talked them into giving me an extra minute so I could at least hit the 6 mile mark, which I did at 44:29. I like the idea of running outside, so I'll run for an hour, odometer it on my car, and give you the report, either here or on my blog.
Should we do this again in a couple of weeks? How about 80 minutes? Long live the 'thon.

Dusty
