Toronto

April and I went to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto a few weeks ago. Check out the video of the carriage racing.

The point of the race is to complete an obstacle course in as little time as possible and to knock down as few cones as possible. Quite possibly the most fun I've had in a long time.

GR 2006 Update

With the wintery winds of North Dakota blowing the GR 2006 blast is winding down. The weather man says that there will be 8 inches of snow just north of here tonight. This year I ran the Fargo half marathon in 1:38:23 and I did the Castaways Club Triathlon in 1:59:45. Keep in touch...there may be a new program in 2007. My attention now will be shifting towards not getting too fat over the winter. It might be hard to do with all this domestication though.

I'm shooting for 8 posts this year

Here are my buddies and I modeling our svelt looking biking outfits before going out and riding some urban single track trails.

If you look close you'll see that John ponied up and took of his sweat pants....not Barry though.

Wicked boys!

Hey to all my blogger friends

Hey guys....sorry I haven't posted a blog in a long time. We've been living the med school dream and just hanging out. I got back from 4 weeks in Ortonville MN about 4 weeks ago. I stayed with this little old lady who was a chain smoker. Here's a picture of my room....

It was a blast there. Now I'm on Ob/Gyn for the next 7 weeks.

Here's a shot from the 4th of July. The Bennett made a cameo appearance at the Batcheller lake place....

As always it was a blast to see the big B.

My most recent project outside of school has been revamping the horse trailer the last several weekends. April and I have sandblasted, painted and are now welding in some extra supports on the trailer. Maybe after this weekend I'll post some pictures of the madness.

Hope you're all doing well. God bless.

April's first Canadian show!!!

April and I are currently at the American oasis in Canada commonly known as Starbucks. We are utilizing the zippy wireless internet while a very tall man with a butch looking woman sit across from us and cough incessantly.

You know what they say? .... The Canadians know how to throw a heck of a dressage show....er something like that. Check out the pics from April's show this last weekend...

The trip up was awesome.....

.....here is April looking super snazzy in her cheap sunglasses.

Midol works for headaches too!!!

This last weekend April and I were in Minneapolis with the horses. It was a blast! April rode with her coach and has certainly come a long way in the last year and a half. I'm excited to see how she and High Light do as they mature. I rode too on the stadium jumping course at the barn we were at. If you have never watched equestrian jumping before you should. It's a total rush and declared cool by Barry Bennett.

The other highlight of the weekend was my discovery that Midol works on men too. I took 2 when I had a headache and noticed that my headache was relieved and my mood greatly improved. Could it be just because my headache was gone? Or, is there some mysterious effect Midol has on mood?

Andy x Andy

Andy Bakke and I went on a ride today. I got to meet is dog Gus who makes a funny snarling face when he plays, really likes sticks and jumping on Andy. Our ride was sweet. The wind was non-existent on the way out and brutal on the way back, but it's kinda like our hills. We just barely beat the rain on the way home.
